BARBERTON, Ohio (AP) — Bonds of $10 million each have been set for brothers arrested in a New Year's Eve robbery-shooting that left a father and his two children dead in northeast Ohio.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1cxvobK ) a visiting judge set the bonds Saturday.
The brothers, 22-year-old Michael Hendon and 30-year-old Eric Hendon, both of Akron, were each charged with three counts of aggravated murder.
Their arrests came Friday, hours after 42-year-old John Kohler died at an Akron hospital. Authorities said his children — 18-year-old Ashley Carpenter and 14-year-old David Kohler-Carpenter — died in the shooting. John Kohler's girlfriend, 38-year-old Ronda Blankenship, also was shot. The newspaper reported she was recovering at an area hospital.
The shootings happened at John Kohler's home, where the teens were visiting for New Year's Eve.
