NY's Carestream Health gets DOD contract extension

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — The Defense Department is extending its contract with a western New York-based X-ray company.

Carestream Health says Thursday that the contact allows the DOD to spend up to $70.2 million with the Rochester company for medical imaging.

The contract includes digital and computed radiography which are designed to improve the accuracy and productivity of imaging technology.

Carestream has more than 7,000 employees in 150 countries.
