TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A grand jury in Toledo has indicted five young men in connection with a brawl at a high school basketball game.
The Blade newspaper (http://bit.ly/19Dse68 ) reports that the Lucas County grand jury indicted three 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old Monday on charges of aggravated riot.
The charges stemmed from a fight at the Dec. 20 Bowsher-Scott basketball game at Bowsher High School.
One of the men also was indicted for assaulting an officer for allegedly striking a Lucas County sheriff's deputy and shoving her, causing her to fall into the stands as she attempted to restrain him.
Play resumed after a 15-minute delay, and the game was won by Bowsher.
