Ohio police say motorist has heart attack, dies

VERMILION, Ohio (AP) — A man Ohio highway police say suffered a heart attack while driving has died at a hospital.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said 65-year-old James L. Rundell of Vermilion was driving on Darrow Road in Vermilion Township about 4 p.m. Saturday when he suffered a heart attack, went off the road and struck a tree.

The patrol said Rundell was unresponsive at the scene and taken to Lorain Mercy Hospital, where he died.

The patrol said alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, which remained under investigation.
