Ohio man held in wife's slaying

CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities say a Cleveland man has been charged in the shooting death of his wife over the weekend.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group (http://bit.ly/1cuIFHR ) reports that 35-year-old Antonio Hicks was arraigned Monday on one count of aggravated murder in the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Diana Fields-Edmonds on the city's east side Saturday morning.

Online records did not show an attorney for Hicks.

Cleveland Police said Fields-Edmonds was a passenger in a vehicle Hicks was driving at the time of the shooting. Police originally said shots were fired from outside of the vehicle, but spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris said homicide detectives determined Hicks was the shooter.

Cuyahoga County Probate Court records show the two were married March 12, 2012.
