HUGHES, Ark. (AP) — Weather officials say a second suspected tornado has touched down in Arkansas, injuring two people and damaging about 20 homes.
National Weather Service meteorologist David Cox, based in Jackson, Miss., says a twister touched down near Dermott, in the far southeastern corner of Arkansas.
Authorities earlier said that an apparent twister had touched down near the small town of Hughes, Ark., injuring three people and damaging three homes.
Forecasters are warning of possible tornadoes from southern Louisiana to southern Indiana.
