CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Overnight snow in portions of New England could impact commuters as the Northeast wrestles with the latest winter storm.
Much of the region escaped with only an inch or two of snow on Tuesday, but totals were much higher in Boston and northern New England, where snow fell late into the night causing slippery conditions, minor accidents and delays.
Boston received 6 inches of snow but coastal communities such as Saco, Maine, hit 10 inches.
The National Weather Service says temperatures will be around freezing on Wednesday. Meteorologist Chris Kimble says the sunshine "should help melt the roads."
