No arrests yet in Ohio shooting of 3-year-old girl

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police say they are still investigating and have made no arrests in a Cincinnati gun battle in which a 3-year-old girl was wounded by a stray bullet.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/1gGCMsX ) that six people taken into custody for questioning Tuesday were released without charges. Police Capt. Michael Neville says officers continue to conduct interviews and study evidence.

Police have said the girl was wounded at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday amid a series of shots fired. The Enquirer reports that police believe she will survive the wound from the bullet, which hit her in the buttocks.

She was hospitalized Tuesday at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The hospital declined Wednesday to release any information about her condition.
