NYC doctor struck and killed by car in Queens

NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City pediatrician on his way to treat a patient was struck by a car and killed outside the hospital where he worked.

Police say the accident occurred Monday evening as Dr. Siu Anthony Lee was crossing Booth Memorial Avenue at 141st Street in Queens.

He worked at New York Hospital in Queens, where he was pronounced dead.

His colleagues told the New York Post (http://bit.ly/J9xpo9 ) that Lee was married with three children and had a practice in the neighborhood.

Police say the driver had the right of way when he struck Lee. The driver remained on the scene.
