Bullet hits Ohio school bus; no students onboard

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — A school superintendent says no students were on a school bus when a shot was fired into the vehicle's back window in suburban Cincinnati.

Princeton City Schools Superintendent Gary Pack says the bus driver was not injured.

Pack says the bus was at an intersection about a half mile from Lincoln Heights Elementary School when the shot was fired Wednesday afternoon. He says the bus was about to head to the school to pick up students.

The school was locked down about an hour under the district's safety plan.

Pack says the driver saw a car pass the bus around the time the shot was fired, but he says it wasn't clear whether the shot came from the car.

Lincoln Heights police declined to immediately comment on the ongoing investigation.
