Ohio troopers seeking vehicle in fatal hit-skip

LITHOPOLIS, Ohio (AP) — The State Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding the driver who hit and killed a 24-year-old pedestrian in central Ohio and then drove away.

The patrol said Joshua Allen Barnes of Canal Winchester was killed when he was hit while walking in the road just before 6 a.m. Wednesday in Fairfield County, southeast of Columbus.

Troopers say they are looking for what is possibly a 2000 Jeep Cherokee with front-end damage that was seen driving away from the crash scene. It may also be missing the left-side mirror.
