ROCKFORD, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State Police say that 641 pounds of unwanted or expired prescription drugs were dropped off at its posts around the state during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
The state announced the haul Thursday from the collection that took place Saturday.
State police say the collection was a collaboration of with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other local law enforcement agencies.
State police say all 29 posts participated. They say the largest take was 74 pounds at the Rockford post, with 71.5 pounds collected at the Lapeer post.
