DALLAS (AP) — The gold wedding band of accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald is being offered at auction along with almost 300 items linked to the life and death of President John F. Kennedy.
RR Auction is auctioning off the items Thursday in Boston. Nov. 22 will mark the 50th anniversary of the 1963 assassination of Kennedy in downtown Dallas, and the New Hampshire-based auction house has gathered items ranging from Kennedy's rosary beads to Oswald's U.S. Marine Corps rifle score book.
Oswald's widow, Marina Oswald Porter, is selling the ring. Oswald left it in a cup on the dresser on the morning of the assassination. After being turned over to the Secret Service, it spent decades in the files of a Fort Worth lawyer before being returned to her.
