TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Friends and family remembered a slain 23-year-old Toledo woman as a beautiful young woman and a hard worker.
They gathered during a fundraiser Saturday night to help pay for the funeral of the woman, Jordan Jones.
Jones was gunned down a week ago in her Toledo apartment.
Police have issued a warrant for 29-year-old Marquis Walker, who family say is an ex-boyfriend.
Police say they believe Walker forced his way into Jordan's apartment before shooting her several times.
Jones' aunt, Diana Hughes, tells WTOL-TV (http://bit.ly/17BgPT7) that her niece loved life, people and her job as a nurse at a retirement home.
Jones' funeral is set for Wednesday.
