SEYMOUR, Ind. (AP) — An Indiana woman who was born with dwarfism is working to raise awareness of the condition and increase acceptance of little people.
Jana Gray of Seymour is a member of Little People of America and recently helped organize a convention for members in Columbus.
The 45-year-old is president of the organization's Little Hoosiers Chapter 24 and works to help parents find activities for their children. The Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/GZAN3N ) she also sells bracelets to raise money for the group and posts facts about dwarfism to her Facebook page.
Gray's husband, Scott, and her daughter also have dwarfism. Her son is more than 6 feet tall.
She says their house is designed to be accessible to people of all heights.
Gray is the administrative assistant for the Seymour Police Department.
