DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor says a man has been arrested on charges of murder and assault in a stabbing death in southwest Ohio.
Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. says 27-year-old Curtis Gray, of Dayton, was arrested Thursday morning in the stabbing death of Daniel Mooty.
The prosecutor said in a release that police responded to a 911 call about a man screaming and arrested Gray just minutes after arriving at the scene. Authorities say Mooty was found dead from multiple stab wounds.
The Dayton Daily News reports that Mooty was found behind a vacant house.
Gray was in jail Friday. Jail records did not list an attorney for him.
Heck says the case will be presented to a grand jury for possible indictment. The prosecutor didn't comment on a possible motive.
