CINCINNATI (AP) — Murder charges have been filed against a Cincinnati man arrested in the death of his girlfriend's 2-month-old son after the infant suffered severe head injuries.
Twenty-one-year-old Daniel McClure had been charged with felonious assault last week. He pleaded not guilty.
Additional charges of murder, aggravated murder and child endangering were added on Tuesday.
His attorney, Tim McKenna, did not immediately return a call for comment.
McClure is being held on a $1 million bond.
Police Sgt. Joseph Briede (BREE'-dee) says McClure was alone with 2-month-old Tyrelle Key when the baby was injured. He declined to say where Tyrelle's mother was at the time or how Tyrelle sustained the injuries.
A police complaint against McClure says he was arrested based on his own admissions, evidence at the scene and medical evidence.
