LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A pair of women who visited the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock say they were excited about an opportunity to sign up for health care coverage but weren't able to do so.
The Clinton School hosted an event Tuesday, the first day that people could sign up under an insurance exchange that is part of the Affordable Care Act.
Mary Frances Perkins of Carlisle, who is unemployed and says she has Parkinson's disease, says she was frustrated after trouble with a website kept her from enrolling. Mary Eagle of Benton stopped by the Clinton School to pick up information and said she would attempt to sign up on her own later.
Both women said there were currently without health insurance.
