TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Investigators say they found evidence of burning candles and smoking in an Ohio mobile home where six people died in a fire, but they are ruling that the cause is undetermined.
The investigation into the fire released Friday also says there were working smoke detectors inside the mobile home and that firefighters heard them going off when they arrived.
Five children died along with their mother's boyfriend last Sunday morning in the northwestern Ohio city of Tiffin. The mother was at work at her fast-food job when the fire broke out.
The children were ages 6 to 2.
The four girls who died were laid to rest in a single casket on Thursday while the youngest victim was buried with his father.
