Pilot suffers injuries in Ohio ultra-light crash

RANDOLPH, Ohio (AP) — The pilot of an ultra-light aircraft has suffered minor injuries after crashing into trees in Randolph Township.

The State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 6:10 p.m. Tuesday near a field where the ultra-light was taking off and landing.

The pilot, Wade C. Kerr, of Tallmadge, was removed from the aircraft by members of the Randolph and Rootstown Township Fire Departments. He is being treated for unspecified injuries at a local hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the accident.
