BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Two nursing programs that had been on probation at Southern Vermont College are retaining their accreditation.
The college in Bennington learned on Aug. 30 that its two- and four-year nursing degree programs will maintain accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
But some changes are planned. The Bennington Banner reports (http://bit.ly/17DcWzl) the two-year associate degree program is ending with the class of 2014. Another program for students who already have an associate degree may be discontinued in favor of a new program.
The accreditation had been questioned last year.
