DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police have sought help from federal agencies in pursuing a suspect in a two-month series of sexual assaults that has an inner-city neighborhood living on edge.
Police Maj. Jeff Cotner says three new arrest warrants have been added to one issued Saturday for Van Dralan Dixson. Each warrant charges the 38-year-old crime-watch volunteer with aggravated sexual assault. That's after police say DNA test results linked him to four attacks in the Fair Park neighborhood southeast of downtown Dallas.
Cotner says DNA test results are still pending from two other attacks, while DNA evidence from two other attacks was unavailable.
Cotner also says Dixson's car has been impounded after it was found abandoned in Garland, a northeastern Dallas suburb. A warrant for a police search of the vehicle is pending.
