PENINSULA, Ohio (AP) — Hikers found a jawbone in Ohio's Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) Valley National Park and searchers then found additional human remains including a partial skull.
The discovery of the human remains and clothing was under investigation Tuesday as a possible homicide in the park located between Cleveland and Akron.
The investigation involves the National Park Service, FBI agents and the Summit County medical examiner.
Park service spokeswoman Jennie Vasarhelyi (va-sar-REL'-ee) says the jawbone was spotted by hikers late Monday off a trail in Boston Township south of Peninsula.
The Akron Beacon Journal (bit.ly/19EC4WA) reports a city detective investigating a missing teenager went to the search location Tuesday.
