A winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of central Ohio until noon.
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — University officials say a LIU athlete has been diagnosed and treated for the bacterial infection MRSA and other ill students are being tested.
The school says the recreational and athletic facilities at Long Island University's Brookville campus have been disinfected.
Newsday (http://bit.ly/1dQPNzr ) says the athlete was diagnosed last week. The school didn't say what sport he played.
MRSA is a staph bacteria that is resistant to certain antibiotics. It can be transmitted by skin-to-skin contact, or sharing towels.
