SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — South Burlington police are investigating the circumstances of what appears to be a medical emergency involving a woman found unconscious in a wooded area of the Vermont city.
Police say they received a report of an unresponsive female off Hannaford Drive on Sunday afternoon.
After a search a woman in her 40s was found.
She appeared to be suffering from a medical emergency, but police have not found any witnesses who can describe what happened so they are proceeding as if a criminal investigation may take place.
Police know the identity of the woman, who had been living in campsites in the area, but did not release her name.
Police did not release the woman's condition.
