Ohio man sought in shooting that left woman dead

FOSTORIA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in northwest Ohio are seeking a man they say fatally shot a woman and wounded her daughter.

Police were looking for 37-year-old Calvin Dixson of Perrysburg, following the shooting Sunday afternoon in Fostoria, southeast of Toledo.

Reports said officers found two women — adult mother and daughter — with gunshot wounds slumped in a white Pontiac parked in front of the house.

The mother was dead at the scene, and the daughter was taken to a hospital where he is in critical condition. Their names haven't been released.

Witnesses said a man walked up to their car and fired several shots at the women inside before fleeing.

Police said Dixson was an ex-boyfriend of one of the women, who had a restraining order against him.
