Hamilton reopens most crossings after derailment

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Local officials in Ohio say all but one crossing has been reopened following a train derailment Friday night.

The Hamilton Fire Department reported that as of 9:30 a.m. Saturday only Walnut Street in the southern part of the city remained closed.

Two empty cars of a CSX train derailed in the city at approximately 8:15 p.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.

Fire, police and railroad authorities were on the scene Saturday to clear wreckage, repair affected tracks and determine what caused the cars to derail. No injuries have been reported.
