OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Students at Miami University will pay slightly more to attend the Oxford campus in southwest Ohio for the 2013-2014 school year.
Trustees for the university on Friday voted to increase tuition by 1.5 percent for undergraduate and graduate students. That means tuition will cost nearly $13,300 for in-state, undergraduate students and just over $29,000 for out-of-state students.
Tuition for students at Miami's regional campuses will increase by at least 2 percent.
The university says trustees also strengthened its smoke-free policy to create a tobacco-free policy taking effect July 1.
An exception to the current policy allows employees to smoke in their personal vehicles on school property. That exception won't apply after Dec. 31.
