XENIA, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio grand jury has indicted a man on charges of felonious assault and endangering children after he allegedly ripped off part of a baby's scalp.
Thirty-four-year-old Kodi Weatherspoon was being held on $20,000 bond in Greene County Jail. Xenia (ZEEN'-yuh) attorney Adrian King said Wednesday he has been assigned to represent Weatherspoon but hasn't had a chance yet to meet with him. Arraignment is expected next week on the Tuesday indictment.
Fairborn police allege Weatherspoon punched his wife while she was holding their 1-month-old child earlier this month and apparently pulled off part of the boy's scalp while grabbing for her.
The baby was hospitalized at Children's Medical Center of Dayton for treatment and was later discharged. No information about him was released.
