CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities in Cleveland say two people were killed when the car they were in went airborne and crashed into the second floor of a house on the city's east side.
Police said the car was speeding when the driver failed to make a turn just after midnight Friday. The car hit a curb and went airborne, bouncing off the roof of a garage, though some trees and into the second floor of the house.
Nobody in the house was injured. A man who lives there said he was downstairs at the time.
Media reports said the man and woman in the late-model Hyundai Sonata were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the woman had been driving the car.
