Ohio gov calls rescue of 3 missing women 'amazing'

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik) says the rescue of three missing women who were found in Cleveland is "an amazing story."

Kasich told reporters on Wednesday that while it's good news the women have been found after about a decade, he expects the days ahead will be a struggle for them.

The governor said the state's Department of Mental Health has reached out to local authorities to express a willingness to help if needed. And he said he's made it clear the state would provide any additional support if necessary.

A 911 call led police to a home near downtown Cleveland where the three women, who disappeared over several years, were found Monday.

Police say investigators have found ropes and chains inside the house.
