FAIRBORN, Ohio (AP) — An actor who starred as one of two California highway officers in the hit 1970s TV series "CHiPs" will be cruising through Ohio on Saturday.
Erik Estrada is joining a motorcycle ride beginning at 11 a.m. at a Fairborn restaurant in southwestern Ohio.
The event benefits the Virginia-based Safe Surfin' Foundation, which tries to raise awareness of web-based crimes against children. Estrada is the group's celebrity spokesman.
The Dayton Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/14QaSFP) that registration to join the ride is $20 per bike, and includes a chance to meet Estrada.
Estrada is most famous for his role as Frank "Ponch" Poncherello on "CHiPs," and more recently has been starring in reality TV series.
