STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A judge plans to announce his verdict in the case of two Ohio high school football players charged with raping a 16-year-old girl after an alcohol-fueled party last summer.

Prosecutors say the drunken girl was taken advantage of. Defense attorneys say the girl has a history of heavy drinking and lying.

The verdict to be read Sunday morning by the judge follows four days of testimony in Jefferson County juvenile court in eastern Ohio.

The two teens are accused of digitally penetrating the West Virginia girl in a car and in a basement.

If found delinquent — the juvenile court equivalent of guilty — the two defendants could be jailed until they turn 21.

Social media attention and allegations of selective prosecution have given the case an international profile.
