CINCINNATI (AP) — A baby sitter initially charged with murder in the death of a 1-year-old boy whose body was hidden in an Ohio home pleaded guilty to lesser charges and has been sentenced to 19 ½ years in prison.

A prosecutor's spokeswoman says 27-year-old Marquita Burch, of Covington, Ky., pleaded guilty Thursday in Cincinnati to involuntary manslaughter, child endangering and gross abuse of a corpse in William Cunningham's death last May.

Authorities said Burch didn't seek medical treatment after the boy suffered a head injury. They say she reported him missing from a Covington, Ky., playground but later said she put him to bed after he fell and found him dead the next day.

Police found the body in a Cincinnati home a few days later.

Burch's attorney declined to comment.
