BOLIVAR, Mo. (AP) — Bolivar officials say city workers will be working out of different buildings for several months while mold is removed from City Hall.
City Administrator Darin Chappell says the problem began three months ago when a storm peeled back part of City Hall's roof and rainwater got inside. The roof was repaired but the moisture led to black mold.
Chappell says workers have reported some headaches but no major health issues. He says the mold did not pose a danger to residents during brief stops at city hall.
KY3-TV reports (http://bit.ly/WJiWo9 ) while the mold is removed, operations will be moved to buildings leased throughout the city. However, residents will be able to conduct their city-related business at a Commerce Bank building.
