Colorado Senate voting on gun control bills

Monday March 11, 2013 1:00 PM

DENVER (AP) — Colorado senators are expected to take final votes Monday on several gun-control measures, including those on magazine ammunition limits and expanded background checks.

Five of seven bills in the Democrats' gun-control package won initial approval last week. On Monday, the Senate was scheduled to take formal votes on the measures.

Other proposals in the gun-control package include a gun ban for people accused of domestic violence crimes, and a ban on online-only gun training for a concealed carry permit.

Two parts of the Democratic gun package were pulled Friday because of lack of support. Those included a liability measure for gun owners and a concealed-weapons ban on college campuses.
