GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Former U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck says he is being treated for lymphoma.

Buck said on his official Facebook page that he is going in for a biopsy on Monday and will begin treatment on Wednesday.

An official in his office who asked not to be identified confirmed the statement. Buck, who is Weld County district attorney, asked for privacy and says he will post updates on the Internet.

The Republican prosecutor lost to Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet in a tight Senate contest in 2010.
