WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas health officials and the March of Dimes are working to reduce the premature birth rate in Kansas.
The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/10nlCW2 ) reports that the goal is to drop the rate of premature births by 8 percent by the end of 2014. The effort will include an educational campaign to encourage pregnant women to carry to term and to wait until labor begins on its own instead of scheduling an induction.
