LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — An expert is scheduled to discuss migraine headaches and treatments at a Science Cafe session later this month in Lincoln.
Reducing the suffering of patients will be the focus of the March 25 program. It is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Lincoln.
The featured speaker is Nancy Waltman, who is a professor of nursing and nurse practitioner at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing Lincoln Division. She oversees the migraine headache clinic at Bryan Medical Center.
Waltman will explain why migraines are often underdiagnosed and undertreated. She also will discuss lifestyle changes and medications that can help migraine sufferers.
