COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The six-month suspension of former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann's law license has been extended to federal court.
Dann resigned as Ohio's chief law enforcer in 2008 amid a sexual harassment scandal and later pleaded guilty to ethics violations involving campaign and transition funds.
The Ohio Supreme Court ordered a half-year suspension of his law license in November. On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr. informed Dann the suspension would apply in his court, too.
Sargus had given the Youngstown Democrat 30 days to explain why the suspension shouldn't apply in federal court. Dann made no attempt to argue against the move.
Dann told the court that he has no cases pending there.
