Health Disparities Conference at Xavier

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The College of Pharmacy at Xavier University in New Orleans has scheduled a conference this week aimed at improving health care for underserved populations.

The three-day Health Disparities Conference begins Thursday at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans. Pharmacists, nurses, physician assistants and health policy makers will be among the participants.

The conference is hosted by the Xavier College of Pharmacy's "Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities," as part of the college's mission to prepare pharmacists to improve care in medically underserved communities.
