COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Columbus police say a man facing sexual battery charges involving two young relatives has plans to leave central Ohio, possibly for the Middle East.

Authorities said Ahmed S. Kadi, 49, abandoned his job after learning he was under investigation. As of Saturday, he had not responded to attempts at communication by investigators and family.

Police have issued a warrant for his arrest alleging he sexually abused two relatives, girls ages 13 and 15. The girls' names have not been released.
