CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A central Ohio man has been killed in a head-on collision on icy roads.
The Pickaway County Sheriff's office reports that 62-year-old Marvin H. Petty, of Circleville, was killed early Saturday when the Ford Ranger he was driving crossed a center lane while going southbound on U.S. 23 and hit a semi that was heading north.
Semi driver George Allen, of Washington Court House, was not injured.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the crash happened at 8:14 a.m. near Little Walnut Road north of Circleville.
Authorities in Madison and Pickaway counties said roads were icy and covered with snow in the vicinity and several drivers slid off the road in the same area.
