GEORGETOWN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Brown County say 14 people have been indicted on charges they were part of a ring that made, sold or brought in methamphetamine and other drugs to southwest Ohio.
Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger announced Friday the defendants face a combined 89 felony and misdemeanor counts including illegal possession and manufacture, conspiracy, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, breaking and entering, and petty theft.
Those charged following a 10-month investigation range in age from 18 to 55. Seven are from Mt. Orab, three from Sardinia, two from Fayetteville, and one each from Georgetown and Williamsburg.
As of Friday, seven of the individuals had been jailed awaiting arraignment.
Brown County Assistant Prosecutor Zac Corbin says authorities continue to work to identify area drug dealers but progress is being made.
