FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Fresno police are still looking for seven children missing since Saturday in a possible family abduction.

Sgt. Jaime Rios said Thursday that investigators suspect the children's biological father, 54-year-old Xa Yang (zah yayng), took the children. But they've been unable to contact him.

The children — ages 5 to 12 — were taken from their Fresno home when their mother and stepfather left to go to a grocery store Saturday evening.

The mother and stepfather told police that when they returned, the children — along with their clothes in the home — were gone.

Investigators say they don't believe the children are in any danger. They say Yang has been estranged from the family for three years and it's believed he lives in Sacramento.
