JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — A company is recalling its Applegate Organic Chicken and Apple Sausage product because it may contain pieces of plastic.
Officials with the state Department of Environmental Conservation says 12-ounce vacuum packages were distributed in Alaska. There's been three reports nationwide of small pieces of plastic in the packages, but none from Alaska.
The packages were produced on Jan. 24, and have a "use or sell by" date of March 17.
