CINCINNATI (AP) — The last of four voter-approved casinos in Ohio looks every bit like a fully functioning facility with less than a week before opening.
Cocktail servers carried around drinks, dealers practiced taking chips and doling out winnings and cleaning staff made finishing touches.
Reporters got a sneak peak of the $400 million Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati on Tuesday, where the only thing missing were actual gamblers.
The facility will open to the public next week if all goes as planned during a dry run of the casino on Wednesday.
It took about two years to build the two-story, 400,000-square-foot facility in downtown Cincinnati.
Casinos in Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus opened in that order starting in May after winning voter approval in 2009.
