Final sentencing for Ohio man in child rape case

Tuesday February 26, 2013 3:15 AM

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A judge is ready to sentence a western Ohio adoptive father for his second conviction on child rape charges.

The 40-year-old man Troy man previously pleaded guilty to a count of child rape and one of complicity to rape. The second charge involved allegedly arranging with a Dayton man to rape one of his adopted sons, who was 10 years old at the time. That man pleaded guilty to child rape counts earlier this month and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Katherine Huffman will likely sentence the Troy man to 50 years to life Tuesday if she agrees that he has fulfilled terms of a plea agreement. He has already been sentenced in Miami County to 60 years to life.
