NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Several buildings were evacuated at a Louisiana college and classes have been canceled after a high school housed on the campus received a bomb threat.

Northwestern State police on Monday cleared out buildings next to the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts shortly before noon. The high school also was evacuated.

At least one campus entrance was closed.

Details about the threat were not immediately released. Messages left with campus and city police were not immediately returned.

Northwestern State has about 4,500 students. It wasn't clear how many students attend the high school.
