MORAINE, Ohio (AP) — The State Highway Patrol says a man led troopers on a high-speed chase ending in a fire when his pickup truck crashed into a utility building in southwest Ohio.

The patrol's Dayton post says the man crashed around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Moraine, with his truck bursting into flame. He was pulled from the truck and treated for non-life threatening injuries before being taken to jail.

The patrol says the 1.5-mile chase with speeds up to 100 mph lasted about a minute and began when a trooper tried to pull him over for speeding in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75.

The patrol says the man was being held in jail on a felony fleeing and eluding charge.

Patrol Sgt. David Robison said he could not confirm the man's identity.
